    7th Edition of the International Online Digital Nature Photography Contest 2025

    From April 14th to June 30th

    The Gaviota Group invites you to participate in the 7th Edition of the International Online Digital Nature Photography Contest 2025.

    All interested parties, whether professionals or amateurs, are welcome to participate with nature images from anywhere in the world.

    The following CATEGORIES will be entered:

    LANDSCAPE: Photographs of natural settings, including natural phenomena, geological processes, climatic conditions, mountains, forests, rivers, streams, waterfalls, and in general all types of natural environments that have not been substantially altered by humans or that persist despite human intervention.

    FLORA AND FAUNA: Plants and animals in their natural environment, highlighting the behavior of species and their particular characteristics.

    MAN AND NATURE: Images that illustrate environmental stewardship and the problems arising from pollution, rampant deforestation, and other events that threaten nature. Representation of the local people's way of life and their customs and popular culture; festivals, traditions, and idiosyncrasies.

    MACRO-PHOTOGRAPHY: This name commonly refers to the type of photographic image taken very close to the subject in question.

    IDENTIFICATION OF WORKS:

    The contestant will change the name assigned by their camera, as follows:

    • Original name assigned by the camera (e.g., DSC01234)
    • Name for entry (FirstAndLastNames_CATEGORIES), for example: PedroPerez_LANDSCAPE

    PHOTO CHARACTERISTICS:

    • JPEG format, not exceeding 500 KB.
    • The longest side of the photo must be at least 2000 px.
    • Accepted crop ratios: 3:2, 2:3, 4:3, 3:4, 1:1, and 16:9 (digital panoramas).
    • No watermarks, date stamps, frames, borders, or captions.
    • Maximum of 4 photographs per participant, one per category, in black and white and/or color.
    • Images must be original, unpublished, and not awarded in other contests.

    PRIZE:
    Free entry into the 13th International Digital Nature Photography Contest 2025, to be held in the Topes de Collantes Protected Natural Landscape in October.
